Tropical Pangkor provided the setting for the Treaty of 1874, which strengthened ened British control of Perak and its lucrative tin trade.
Step out of the city life by going to Coral Beach and Teluk Nipah. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Pulau Pangkor: Lumut (The RAHMAT Maritime Museum & Mangrove Swamp Park) and Sitiawan (Tua Pek Kong Temple & Lumut Waterfront).
