Fargo is the most populous city in the state of North Dakota, accounting for over 15% of the state population. Step off the beaten path and head to Turtle River State Park and Lindenwood Park. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Fargo: Barnes County Historical Society (in Valley City), North Dakota Museum of Art (in Grand Forks) and Shady Hollow Flea Market (in Detroit Lakes). And it doesn't end there: tee off at Edgewood Golf, get engrossed in the history at Fort Abercrombie, see the interesting displays at National Buffalo Museum, and explore and take pictures at Newman Outdoor Field.

To see reviews, photos, maps, and more tourist information, refer to the Fargo trip planner.

In August, daytime highs in Fargo are 81°F, while nighttime lows are 58°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Fri) to allow time to travel back home.
