Grand Forks is the third-largest city in the State of North Dakota (after Fargo and Bismarck) and is the county seat of Grand Forks County. You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Red River Zoo and Thunder Road Amusement Park. Explore Grand Forks' surroundings by going to Bemidji (Headwaters Science Center & Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox), Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County (in Moorhead) and Fargo (Fargo Air Museum & Roger Maris Museum). There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Bonanzaville, admire the majestic nature at Turtle River State Park, look for gifts at Widman's Candy Shop, and join the crowd at River Cities Speedway.

For reviews, photos, other places to visit, and more tourist information, read our Grand Forks tour planner.

If you are flying in from Canada, the closest major aiport is Hector International Airport. In July, daytime highs in Grand Forks are 32°C, while nighttime lows are 17°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
