Mandan is a city on the eastern border of Morton County and is the eighth-largest city in North Dakota. Get out of town with these interesting Mandan side-trips: Salem Sue (in New Salem), Assumption Abbey (in Richardton) and Dickinson Museum Center (in Dickinson). There's much more to do: let the kids burn off some steam at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, make a splash at Raging Rivers Waterpark, have fun at Universal Playground/ Eagles Park, and steep yourself in history at On-A-Slant Village.
