  Caprock Coulee was one of our favorite hikes! You hike thru the nature trail area then praire/grasslands and then rock formations. Scenery kept changing. Total hike is around 4 miles.  more »

  Easy trail to the prairie dog town. Ran face to face with a huge bison bull which can be dangerous if you don't know how to react. Be careful and very of your surroundings.

  Gorgeous trail. Definitely worth doing. It is very isolated due to lack of hikers there and gives you a great opportunity to experience real nature. There are a lot of beautiful butterflies and flowers along the trail. Took 4 hours including breaks to admire, drink/eat and take pictures. Otherwise, could be done in 3 hours. If you start going from the nature trail, it starts out marked very well, but towards the end it can be difficult to find the trail path at certain points.
